It's a four-rounder with several recognizable names, so I think it's significant enough to track. Par is 72...Liu set a tournament record, which included an ace.

69 – Khanphanitnan Muangkhumsakul (THA), Yin Ruoning*, Sherman Santiwiwatthanapong (THA), Ploychompoo Wirairungrueng (THA)
70 – Peng Chieh (TWN), Chonlada Chayanun (THA), Parinda Phokan (THA), Yuan Hexi, Feng Simin, Pitsaon Chaichompoo (THA), Qin Min

Xiang Sui won't win; she's 13 strokes behind Does anyone really care? I posted 8 other Chinese "Beauties" and decided after looking at Miss Sui, that there was no comparison, and deleted the post. . .

awhson Of course Xiang Sui cares about her results; she's a serious golfer. But you're right; not only Xiang Sui is the top sweetheart in China, she's also very popular in Korea. By my calculation, she's invited to four KLPGA events in 2018; thus for a player who ranks outside of Top 350 in the world. I always remember quotes by Koreans after she played her first joint CLPGA/KLPGA event in 2017: 隋响天然美惊艳韩国网友 获评“高球界的刘亦菲”
“目前,她是东亚高尔夫球手之中最漂亮的一个,比田仁智更漂亮。” "Right now, she's the prettiest Eastern Asian golfer, prettier than In Gee Chun" “像安信爱这种装逼的,一下子比下去了。” "Shin Ae Ahn is totally artificial, she can't compare to Xiang Sui"

Women's China Open used to be a joint CLPGA/KLPGA event; no Chinese has ever won for the first eleven events. It's about to change. 破纪录!中国女子公开赛刘依一61杆领先首轮 林希妤T2

The projected cut is +3, which appears to be the top-60 plus ties.
Mini Ting Ting (aka Yuli Shi) from Round One...shot 76-75, trunkslam

Thanks for the tip about the various links at the CLPGA IG. The link you posted produced a small screen that I couldn't expand...I'm getting a much bigger screen with this link:
There is nobody on this golf course.

That was no "61" golf game or swing I saw from Yiyi Liu...I don't know how she dominated on Thursday, but she fell back to Earth on Friday. They are playing at Orient (Xiamen) Golf & CC (6388 yards). The cut was at +5.

I watched for some time. . .the only person I recognized in the top ten was Janet Xiyu Lin. . .she was playing well and had attained 2nd place at -9, the leader was still the 17 year old YiYi Liu who is having her 18th birthday on Christmas. . .

You know they're playing in China when the background noise includes construction banging and circular saws cutting through lumber...enjoy it, we paid for it. If you hate commercials, then watch this broadcast because there are none.
This golf course is directly across from Taiwan, which explains why there are no parkas and why the fairways are not brown...currently 71 F.
I heard the broadcaster guy say "Mississippi State" (obvious reference to Jessica Peng)...he says "birdie putt" often and after an errant drive by Xi Yu Lin, he says "better to be lucky than good" ... his occasional ramblings in English are pretty good; maybe he didn't grow up in China.
They showed Min Lee sparingly as she is two holes ahead of the last group, but she is -5 thru 16 holes and trails Yiyi Liu by one shot. It's too bad Muni He is not playing here (I admit she has no reason to).

Some guy from Down Under interviewed Min Lee (below) in English immediately after she finished her round...she had the clubhouse lead as Yiyi Liu was in the process of three-putting five of her last six holes.
Weiwei Zhang during Round Two...had a 68 on Saturday and is nine shots back.
207 – Lee Min (TWN) 71-69-67
209 – Lin Xiyu 68-71-70, Liu Yan 72-67-70
210 – Khanphanitnan Muangkhumsakul (THA) 69-70-71, Liu Yiyi 61-74-75
211 – Ren Yue 71-71-69
212 – Peng Chieh (TWN) 70-71-71, Hwang Ye-nah (KOR) 68-72-72, Yin Ruoning* 69-70-73
213 – Wichanee Meechai (THA) 76-69-68, Hong Yoo-yeon (KOR) 73-71-69, Kanyalak Preedasuttijit (THA) 71-73-69, Renuka Suksukont (THA) 71-67-75, Chen Yu-ju (TWN) 68-69-76
214 – Pavarisa Yoktuan (THA) 72-70-72

KLPGA Dream Tour player Yul Been Kang (described as "Korean beauty" by Chinese website) aced #4 on Friday...currently sits at +7, 53rd place. ************
CLPGA lifer Taoli Yang (age 35) is +9, T-58 ... she must have picked up that Tourstage cap at a rummage sale ... I have found no evidence that Bridgestone is reviving this defunct sub-brand.
