No Kotone Hori name mentioned. Does that mean she doesn't have to go. What about Sun Hwa Lee, isn't it a little late in her career.

Why does this event allow 35 Japanese tour players, but the Hana Bank only let about ten (just a guess) KLPGA golfers into the field? Is it because the KLPGA is far more likely to win than the JLPGA is, and the LPGA doesn't want to be embarrassed?

Matt Cooper is getting it! Big Mama is cool, I hope she wins and wins (but not this week, she has already shown she won't take an LPGA card even if she earns one!).

My "names" list was not meant to be all-inclusive, but I just looked up Kotone Hori and she's not at any of the sites...maybe she's not required to play until stage 3 or 4. Her washout sister Natsuka is playing stage 2. As for the Stone Buddha, she is only 32, which is a perfect age to start a third golf career in Japan...just ask SY Kang and Young Kim.

Yes, you are right - Anyone seeded in 2018 (finishied in top 50 money List) does not have to appear till stage 3.

RYU RETURNS TO JAPAN WITH NEW FANS, FENG HOPES TO REGAIN FORM AND MORE FROM TOTO JAPAN CLASSICJust one month ago, So Yeon Ryu won the Japan Women’s Open at Chiba Country Club and instantly gained scores of Japanese fans. “A lot of people have been reaching out on social media, saying “I support you,” “I’m rooting for you,” said Ryu, who took a three-stroke win over fellow LPGA champion Nasa Hataoka, an up-and-coming Japanese star. “I feel really blessed about it and hopefully I can perform really well in front of them and look forward to having another victory in Japan.” Ryu and Hataoka will pick right up where they left off on Friday, as the duo will join last week’s winner Nelly Korda in Friday’s first round.
