The idiotic online scoreboard at LPGA.COM is finally unfrozen. Ack, Mi Hyang just made a triple at #9. Okay, I can set the alarm for the JLPGA now.
They showed MHL once, but it was an accident as Wenbo Lu rolled in a birdie.
The greens look pretty good, but when the camera looks back towards the tee, the fifty yards in front of the greens looks like garbage.
They definitely turned down or off the mic on D. Kang. The LPGA's new Brittany could get lost in the daylight.

I'll try to keep myself in the dark on who won this one...watch it on replay if possible.
If MHL is happy, I'm happy.

This was an interesting event to watch with so many challenging for the top spot. The 17 year old Wenbo delighted the crowd while she was at the top. . .then Yu Liu made her run. . .and so on and so on. . .even my fave Jin Young made not one run but two runs toward the top getting within one stroke twice yet only to fall back with two bogeys on the back nine. . .several had their chances but Danielle prevailed just a day after her birthday, and she was holding the trophy. . .seven tied for 2nd. . . Showing off her invitation to the first tournament in 2019. . . the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions. . . Jin Young. . . Wenbo. . .

Congratulation to party mouth Danielle for the win, after coming up short the last time. Maybe she is finally getting serious about her golf game and stop wasting her talent. Jin Young just missed out of a top ten, with the late bogeys. She seem to lose focus sometimes when she get near the top. Not to worry, that too will be fixed with more experience. Yea! So Yeon minus two final round. On to the next tournament, this one is history.

The Stats updater on the LPGA site is all out of sorts. . .must have a virus or a bad programmer. . . Totally in error on Scoring Average,Birdies, Driving Accuracy,Top Ten Finishes, Greens in Regulation. . . However the Rolex Rankings projections show Sung Hyun hanging on to #1. . . https://www.instagram.com/p/BpM3ZLlnh-E

Well, OK, not a bad result, I like Danielle. But I couldn't bring myself to watch, figuring most of my faves would be back burnered so we could watch endless Creamer.
I'm glad to see Sei Young and Jin Young did well, and So Yeon almost redeemed herself. It's over, on to the next tournament. Sisters hwaiting!

OK the LPGA has corrected the errors they had in the Stats on the web site. . . www.lpga.com/statisticsOf interest to me was the fact that Jin Young had once again dropped to 6th in the race to the CME Globe. . .64 points down However she increased her lead in the Rookie of the Year race to some 383 points. . . Is second in driving accuracy by 1%. . . Is 3rd in the # of top ten finishes. . . Is 2nd in the % of top ten finishes. . . Is 1st in greens in regulation by over 2%. . . 2nd in scoring average by .2%. . .

Congrats to Mi Hyang for that rarest of accomplishments: Most birdies (23) and least TV coverage.

Congrats to Mi Hyang for that rarest of accomplishments: Most birdies (23) and least TV coverage. I feel that MHL is a case study in playing (or not playing) the media's game. For whatever reason she is invisible to the western media. Despite that she is very cute, has a great swing, and is surprisingly assimilated into American life--that is to say not many South Korean nationals would choose South Carolina as a home base. Sometimes I wonder if Stacy Lewis got her black-balled or something.

Yes she is American, but from California. Also she speaks English with a slight Korean accent. Saw her once on a JTBC golf lesson show, very fluent and comfortable conversing in Korean.
