Even after they extended the cut to Even, Cindy Ha still gagged her way out of the Q-series...back to the swimming pool.
Another strong performance by past USWO player Suzuka Yamaguchi...she's not the top WAGR amateur from Japan, but she's playing like it.
Well done for Sierra Sims, who will advance to Pinehurst. She made 12 of 13 Symetra cuts in 2017, but 2018 was a disaster...15 trunk slams in 20 starts.
I saw her in a medal play round with Luci Li at the 2016 USWA.

A nice article; Golfweek as usual Kristen Gillman among several college players to advance to LPGA Q-Series
The LPGA has instituted a new rule that would allow college players to defer tour membership until after the spring semester. Lee said she hasn’t thought that far ahead to know what she’d do. There were 193 players who teed it up this week in the second stage. Players who completed 72 holes but did not advance to the Q-Series received Symetra Tour status for 2019. Two big-time players missed out on advancing to the Q-Series by one shot: Duke grad Leona Maguire and Andrea Lee of Stanford.

My bet is Kristen Gillman will be the low amateur after all 8 rounds are played, but Suzuka Yamaguchi may surprise.

Londoner Maddie Szeryk's LPGA hopes on holdSzeryk, Canada’s top female amateur golfer, pulled within striking distance of the top 25 by mid-round and gave herself a shot at advancing to the final Q-Series stage of qualifying.
