Sign of a champion; Andrea Lee birdied 3 of her first 4 holes to get inside Top 25.

Five birdies, two bogeys and a double for her last 8 holes; Andrea Lee finally par the 10th.

I don't know why I'm disinterested in Stage 2...maybe because there are numerous tigers hiding in the weeds waiting to destroy this bunch in Stage 3.
A rare NJ pro who can really play? Cindy Ha is T-12 at -3 thru three rounds. She has been mostly a golf bum since leaving Vanderbilt...her most recent form on the range last week:

What is going on here? NJ Symetra washout Taylor Totland just wrapped up a scorching 67, which should get her into Stage 3. Unfortunately, the dream comes to an end at the end of the month...Whan's two-week Q-series will weed out a lot of "lucky" players who used to pass the old five-round Stage 3 tournament.
The cut is currently -1. K. Gillman is Even thru two holes...I'm surprised she hasn't tapped some of that magic she had in Japan yet. I'm also surprised that Leona Maguire is at +1 after one hole, but there's still time.
Looks like Kyung Kim will glide into Stage 3. I watched the Ping rep try to sell her benefits of the latest gear on the range at Bedminster last year, which she accepted with reluctance...made me wonder if she had doubts about her own game.

I like to see Cindy get back with Jackie, Marina, and Simin and go back to Vandy for a season and challenge that mighty Alabama team. . .

I thought that Kyung Kim would just be a Cactus Tour Queen. She won a number of tournaments on that tour, but hardly any success on the Symetra Tour yet.
Doris Chen is trying to play her way out of the top twenty five. Edit: Plus three thru twelve, ties her with eleven other players, minus one, tied at twenty one.

The decision has been made for Andrea Lee; she's no other options but to stay as a junior at Stanford University.
This is the conundrum for Andrea; she could and probably should turn pro 3 years ago like Yealimi Noh is doing right now.

Not many options for Leona Maguire; another year at Symetra Tour or LET? Symetra Tour for sure in my opinion.
From golfing standpoint; she's wasted the last 4-5 years playing amateur golf.

Doris Chin hung on and made top twenty five. From her play on the Symetra Tour this year, not expecting her to go any farther than the Q-Series. Not a good finish for Youngin, but getting to the next level was the goal.

Top 34 and ties, a total of 41 players, made it to Q-Series from Stage II.
The priority was to have a Q-Series field of close to 108 players, but not to exceed it.
The final field of this year's Q-Series will be 103 players; the other 62 players are exempted from Stage II qualification.
