I've had a feeling all week that Ko was going to win here. Just feeling it.
I watched a little of this, but ended up choosing the KLPGA Championship instead, which turned out to be a bit of a boring rout, too. Man, I had forgotten how the Koreans always get burned by this course. OK, the ones who fly the Korean flag, anyways. But this has been another really terrible week for them, even if a few of them manage to rally tomorrow. And just a few weeks before the US Women's Open.
A few thoughts:
- I can see why Annie Park is not having much success. Long putter? Annie, girl, you have got to retire that thing! - Sei Young is really off kilter right now. At least she had a hole out on the one hole or things would have been really bad. - Inbee needs to sharpen her game up before the Majors. Fortunately, she does tend to round into shape around the end of May most seasons, so hopefully she's getting ready to do that again. - So Yeon is capable of much more, but it was a busy week for her so I'll give her a pass.
I was thinking the same thing about Annie Park choice of putters. There are so many different putters out there to choose from. She should be able to find one to improve her putting. It's not like the one she is using is helping her that much.
I was hoping for a better final round, but it is what it is. A birdie on eighteen, shows that she will always keep competing. Next tournament off and come back refreshed for the rest of the year.
Jin Young didn't have a very good tournament either. There will always be those type of tournaments. Especially, the fact that she nor her caddie are familiar with the course.
