I'm sorry if this has already been covered in another thread. I was just curious if anybody knows what's up with Na Yeon Choi. I saw a recent Instagram post that kind of looked like she really was at a low point. I realize her game has not been what it's been in the past, but other than that is there anything in her life that's in the press in Korea that would be worrisome?

Yeah, the Google Translation of her post does not sound good at all... There are so many things in this world that I do not belong at my disposal. Hard work or hard work always comes at once, teasing me and killing me. If I was smarter, I would have been different ... I thought I wisely live wisely, but it is a series of mistakes and it is as if the world has turned back. I never thought I would be so helpless here. This place where I stand is nothing but a battlefield. If you sell your eyes for a while, your body and mind become bruised. I want to shake it. I want to exert my strength, but I have no use of all my strength. I know you are getting used to something .. It 's still too hard for me. If you want to cry and cry coolly, be patient in your heart. Is it hard for everyone to come from the state? Or maybe I'm pathetic.

She's been looking forward to 2018 season because of her T7 finish at 2017 Blue Bay. www.newsen.com/news_view.php?uid=201801172129313040Other than her split from Jennifer Song that's been widely reported, I haven't seen anything new about Na Yeon.

I'll follow the toughened rules here and leave out names...however, a veteran LPGAer received a flower arrangement last month from a "secret admirer". Could this be the cause of that bummer NYC statement? I LUV NYC...If you're a big fan too, let her know it the next time she plays a tournament in you neck of the woods. She always plays the Shop-Rite/Acer and will get that message from me in June.

thanks everyone. I hope that whatever prompted that Instagram post takes a turn in a more positive direction. NYC remains one of my favorites regardless of her results dipping.

I can't speak for HappyFan but maybe it's because I set my profile up to hide when I'm online. I do that at every forum I join. Actually, I should stop doing that...I started doing it years ago when some forums I joined were very infested with fights between users so anything I could do to limit pesonal information, I did if the forum settings allowed it. Nowadays I'm older and really only visit forums where there are more active admin controls.

The rule is more a suggestion. It was getting a bit out of control with all the unfounded gossip around here about which of the ladies might be dating each other. Even heterosexual Korean golfers go out of their way to keep their private lives out of the press (Grace Park was engaged for a decade before it became public knowledge, for instance). It must be four times as tough for the gay ones. And if they have chosen not to come out of the closet, I for one feel it's OK to let them have that choice rather than having SeoulSisters becomes a sports version of TMZ.
Having said that, if you do talk about this stuff, I just want to keep it as tasteful as possible. Remember that most of this is speculation, so we can discuss it with that in mind. And as always, I value your thoughts on this!
As for NYC, I read her statement as continued frustration in her inability to return to her former greatness. In 2012, she was the best Korean golfer on the planet. Then along came Inbee Park, winning her first tournament in four years, and within a year, Inbee was the stud. Choi, meanwhile, has struggled to maintain her top line status ever since.
