So Yeon sixty eight was not meaningless to me. I am sure it wasn't meaningless to her, as well. She left the tournament on a positive note. So that should give her the confidence, that she is on way to playing great golf again. I am not so hot on So Yeon these days. She looks like a journeyman player now. Look at her results. Capable of good rounds, but also very reliable for one bad round per tournament. Thus I have a hard time seeing her as elite.

But we fans are suckers; a birdie here and a good round there will keep our hope up until the next tournament.

I'm outside of the country and couldn't followed the event due to time and other difficulties. It's nice to read your blow by blow account as the event unfolded.

Both of them haven't played well and it can only be cured by playing very well (Top 3) the next 3-4 tournaments. But I'm like you. As much as I's disappointed by In Gee's play, I's absolutely ecstatic that she birdied her 72nd hole, the par 5 18th.

We fans are creative, we know next time will be different. Even though our heroine has fallen from No. 3 to No. 12 in Rolex Ranking. Bring on the Lotte; In Gee will win. https://www.instagram.com/p/BhDQ7DCgeOH

I've said it before that we do well when we gather 50% of the views of WRX. But not this time, they've almost 15,000 and we've less than 5,000.

Due to the playoff loss, Inbee fell short of No. 1 in Rolex Ranking; but she's taken over the lead in official money and second in scoring average.

Inbee did some great Queen Bee stuff this week, but she wasn't quite at the top of her game. Her putter was awesome, but she made more mistakes tee to green than I'm used to seeing from her. Still, she's just back from her long layoff, and to no one's surprise, she is rocketing up the standings.
As of today, she has moved to #3 in the world, the top Korean. That didn't take long! She's also #1 on the money list. So it was a disappointing finish to the week, but she has a lot to be happy about, too.

My biggest mistake this week and I had plenty to chose from, was not watching more SHP and Charlie Hull on Sunday.

I finally got a chance to watch the Monday action. Inbee really didn't have it going on, unfortunately. She hit an unusually bad putt on the 5th hole, then was lucky to make par on the 6th after ending up in the bunker. On the par 5 she missed maybe a ten footer for birdie that would have, it turns out, won her the match. That one reminded me of her miss on the final hole last year that prevented her from joining So Yeon in the playoff.
But it's all good. She was fantastic on Saturday and Sunday, and I have every confidence she is going to keep working the rust off. And now she must be more motivated than ever. Keep Fighting!

Golf is rational when judging by wins over a span of 5-10 years or scoring average over the course of one year. Other than that, anything can happen. Hilary Lunke won USWO in 2003 and Birdie Kim did the same two years later. How can anybody explain that?
