This one starts Friday the 16th at a different venue this year, Ibaraki Kokusai GC, a little north of Osaka: www.pacificgolf.co.jp/ibaraki/******** It has the usual mishmash of TV stations and times. This one should be available for streaming: TV Asahi Round Three: Sun. 3/18 1:55 PM (Japan time) aqstream.com/jp/tva/TV-Asahi***** Hooray, they're still doing the eight-hour daily webcam for each round...8 AM to 4 PM Japan time: www.tpointladies.tv/

It appears this event is more significant than usual...it's Osaka's first JLPGA tournament in 12 years. I did some digging and found out that they played the 2006 Japan Women's Open at the same course. The winner was Jeong Jang by five shots. A ton of photos were posted from Tuesday's practice round: www.alba.co.jp/tour/news/photo_detail/no=84039/ph=0?tourid=91920&cat=1A few samples: Teresa Lu Hae Rym Kim and Ha Neul Kim Weiwei Zhang and Momoko Ueda ******** Wed. practice: Sky Kim's daddy is in town to look over her putting, which hasn't been good in the early going.

Due to poor weather, the Round One tee times have been pushed back two hours. The webcam is working, but I'm not sure when it will start...my guess is that it will be 10 AM Japan time. UPDATE: They just pushed the start time to 10:30 AM.

They pushed the start to 11 AM local time...strong wind is one reason.

They pushed it back to a Noon start. The webcam is directed at what looks the practice putting green on an elevated part of the course, but no one is on it. A guy walking outside that green had his umbrella blown out of his hands. The webcam has now switched to the spectators in the covered overhang area getting autographs...Sky Kim and Megumi Kido. They just invited super-cute Kana Nagai into the broadcast tent.

Round One was cancelled, so they shortened this event to 36 holes. They're replaying last year's tourney on the webcam. Miyuki Takeuchi and Fumika Kawagishi

The webcam is working perfectly tonight...I haven't watched it from the beginning, but they are showing more than just the range and the 1st hole. I think they're a little behind. The Ai Suzuki group just teed off at 10:15 AM Japan time, but they were scheduled for 9:57 AM. Bo Mee Lee's group is next. Hae Rym is -2 thru five holes...Serena Aoki is -1 thru seven holes.

Smile Kandy early GAG/CHOKE going on. Are there toasters in Japan? She's at least a '3' and getting darker. The first hole was not encouraging...it's downhill and everyone was getting a lot of distance out of it. Her ball was "only" 237, while Ritsuko Ryu hammered it 20 yards past her.

Gotta love the Japanese...they are so ape over golf, especially the women. You don't see fans just at #1, #9, #10 and #18...they are everywhere. They just had early leader Momoko Miura (-4) in the broadcasting tent.

Speaking of toasters, Simon and Martina are more into food videos than anything else, especially since they moved to Japan, but waxing poetic about a $300 toaster that's not available outside of Asia?
Simon, old boy: you need therapy.

I had assumed the whole field would play the second (final) round, but no, they did a cut at +4, which was the top-70 plus ties...another trunk slam for BML. Weiwei Zhang and Ah Reum Hwang
