www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1607616-satoshi-kodaira-witb-2018-arnold-palmer/Phil You'll appreciate the above...a pro with a bag of PRGR clubs at Bay Hill. I've always wanted to hit a real deal Graphite Design shaft...I know a guy at the range with a M2 and GD shaft who will let me hit his driver but it's a X-stiff with a 9.5 head...I play a 10.5 head lofted up....so I wouldn't good feedback. I had a GD stiff shaft in a mint 2013 Cobra Baffler 4H that I bought off CL for $20....great head but the shaft was a licorice stick...so I sold it for $40. After experimenting with some $30 deals for a 4H over the past 2 years from a 2002 TM MID, Adams XTD Ti, Jetspeed...I think I found the club...a mint $30 Callaway X Hot....yes the club looks too offset...but it's a missile launcher. I want a 4H to go 180-185...but if you nut this club I had a shot that went over the green for a total of 210...WTF....I think it has a low spin head. Obviously Mike Clayton would call it a rubbish club because it can be "hot"....but I like it....though I must admit I doubled bogey'd both times I went over the green...but that has a lot to do with my gag/choke scrambling....duh. You upgrading your bag this year?....there are so many great deals in the US...compared to our low inventory up here.

Yes, I saw those bags Monday night or Tuesday morning at Golfwrx. I have no ideas for gear changes at this time. I was hoping to gather some ideas at the North Coast Golf Show, but the only day I could go (Fri. March 2) was also the day of the first March Nor'Easter that ripped through here. They were holding it at a new location that was farther away and isolated...I just didn't want to risk it...had it been held at the old location (much closer to home), I would have gone. A chain called 2ndswing.com recently opened a new location in Wilmington, DE...ugh, as I said before, I have no golf retailers around me, aside from Dick's. For now, my goal is play a lot more this year vs. last year so I can assess what upgrades I might want to do. Signing up with golfnow.com was a good move in 2017, but I didn't use it enough. I've noticed the recent advertising for teeoff.com...their big selling point is having no booking fees, but I'd like to compare each site side-by-side during the busy season to see if there are any significant differences. For now, I'm sticking with golfnow.com.

Phil I assume you wanted to check out the NOS from some of the retailers that would have attended the golf show? There is so much really good used equipment in the US....on-line vendors like Global Golf, 3balls (now owned by Global Golf), etc might have a Masters sale. eBay, CL and the BST on the major golf forums are also good places to buy stuff...obviously never 'gift' money on a BST transaction. Some of the BST dispute threads on WRX are HILARIOUS.....recently there's a long thread (now locked down by the mods) about a kid who made up a fictitious transaction until he got called out/caught.
So are you a Golfnow VIP member?...the VIP membership has gone up to $199 this year. We have garbage courses here on Golfnow and the additional Golfnow fee makes these offers here in Vancouver...no deal. Do you have good Golfnow courses in NJ?
Years ago when teeoff.com was ezlinks.com....I used them for golf in Maui, Big Island Hawaii and Las Vegas.

I did not have a VIP membership at golfnow last year, which cost $99...you'd have to play almost 30 times to make it worth buying. I had no idea that they jacked up the cost of VIP by double this year, but you're right. Golfnow has a lot of NJ courses to choose from...I only scraped the surface in 2017...I look for the 'Hot Deals' during Mon. thru Fri. When I do my Shop-Rite/Acer trip later, I'll try to use Golfnow to book a different course in that area, instead of the usual choice like Mays Landing CC.
I was out tonight to meet friends and stopped at a Dick's on the way. I guess they do fittings for Titleist, because they had a few demo 7-irons against a display wall. I also looked over one of the new Cleveland CBX wedges...they are hideous.

I didn't think you had a VIP membership....glad you got some ok GN courses near you.....you can get some ok prices on "Hot Deals" cause of 2some or single slots. The new GN commercials are so desperate trying to justify the $199 membership. Golf is so popular here (Asia Central has a lot to do with it too) that some courses don't really need to discount....though the landscape is still somewhat competitive too. Golf is really expensive back in the Toronto area...including the suburbs. IMO...I think the golf industry is hurting quite a bit in the US...it's crazy how cheap golf can be in some rural/suburbs in the US based on what I read on WRX. The US courses just across the border are hurting because they rely on we Canucks...and all 3 borders here are really busy and a gong show on the weekend....lots of Canucks cross the border just for your cheap Yank gas and cheese....a 30-35% premium on exchange rate isn't helping the courses neither. DSG is a sham as a golf retailer...they should just give it up...and GG (yes owned by DSG) is garbage too...I assume you don't live near the PGASS in Paramus?.....I've never been to a PGASS...saw a youtube....I could spend 8 hrs in the store. I'm not surprised the CBX wedges are awful....I've never looked at them but suspect they are YUGE heads and really FUGLY.
