If it's a course with which I am familiar, I like to play the tees that are around 6,500. If it's a course I don't know well, I'll move up to the tees that play at around 6,000, but never under 6,000. I'd hate to shoot a great score on a course less than 6,000 yards, makes the score seem illegitimate. I play 95% of my rounds at local Los Angeles City Municipal courses, although last week I played one round at Olivas Links in Ventura, CA. It's a great FAKE links. Your muni green fees are so cheap...especially the twilight and super twilight rates.....so what approx time is twilight and super twilight? Is it difficult to book tee times at the muni's? So where do all the Koreans hang out?....Rancho Park?.....which are the top 3 muni tracks?

(The majority of golfers at Rancho, Wilson/Harding and Roosevelt are Korean.) The other courses are pretty easy to get on. Right now it gets dark around 8pm and twilight starts at 3pm with super twilight starting at 5pm. The Valley courses have 12 noon twilight on weekdays to drum up business because it's so hot (90-100F everyday in the summer).

So I assume the Koreans monopolize all the twilight and super twilight times? I swear the Koreans here have some secret on-line software to get all the 1st and prime twilight times. The pro shop staff here must cringe because the Koreans often create confusion and pretend not to understand remedial English....you have to see it...it's really entertaining...K-Drama at it's best. They don't have a choice at a busy muni...but the Koreans don't want you to join them as a single....especially if it's a Korean couple because the men don't want to be outplayed and the husbands get really jealous....because their wives love the LONG BALL. I'm glad I live in Asia Central...it's so enlightening...I played with 2 white guys and a Brownie on Sat...and the white guys were complaining how the Koreans never fix their ball marks or rake the sand traps....you know I was stirring the pot with that one.
