I got a little of all. Grandfather in the year 1400 went from China to Okinawa, Grandfather from Okinawa went to Hawaii in the early 1900's. I am Okinawan with some Chinese blood in my small toe. Wife's father lived in the north and went to the south to visit friends, war broke out and he never went back to the north. Lived in LA for about 7 years when I was young. Those were really fun days also. Only good burger I remember was Tommy's hamburger. I also love my hum ha kauyuk, only made in Hawaii. Wife don't golf, thank God! Glad to hear you have little Chinese in your blood....therefore you must have class and be considerate. What the heck is hum ha kauyuk...some kind of pork dish? I kinda figured a Korean lady who worked in a kitchen wouldn't be a FAKE high maintenance Korean lady who played golf all day with her Korean girlfriends all dressed in Hazzy, Le Coq and Louis Castel and then later lunching with her girlfriends and discussing their next appointments with the knife doctor and then going home and asking their husbands which high end restaurant she should make reservations at. So my Main Man 3putt, are you married to a Pa'ke (Hawaiian word for Chinese) Wahine? Or are you a twinkie? Kau yuk is a pork belly dish "invented" by a local Chinese in Hawaii. My wife went to China town today and bought some manapua, another excellent Chinese "invented" dish. They sell it here in Vegas as the Hawaiian population in Vegas is huge. Vegas is called the "9th" island. Let me know when you come it town, maybe we can meet. Aloha!!

Chinese women weren't part of my lifestyle in my early days...I grew up in Ontario and the Chinese gals weren't partier's or hotties. I have been here in Vancouver since 1992 and it's a world of difference in the attractiveness of Asian gals here vs. Ontario. I never really met any Koreans...I only noticed Korean gals starting in 2013 due to ss.com and the LPGA....I had no clue who The LOVELY HYP was when she won in 2011. Huh...Chinatown & Vegas? ....oxymoron? I did not know there is a Hawaiian community in Vegas. I've been to Vegas 4 times...but don't have any near future plans...if I do wander there again...I'll PM you...likely gonna head to St. George and Mesquite to play golf again...I really enjoyed my time there in 2006 in St. George.

Since you're opening it up to other Asians...
Haotong Li's mother goes into the lake to retrieve her son's putter...
only to discover that he'd snapped it in half and was putting ok with a wedge.

Since you're opening it up to other Asians... Haotong Li's mother goes into the lake to retrieve her son's putter... Hmmmm...always trying to rub it into the Chinese....LMAO. What the Chinese won't do...yes we are all the same. The sad thing is Li's not necessarily a SCRUB and gets free clubs from the OEM's. I guess Li's mom was thinking she could sell the putter on Craigslist for $80...or $175 if it was a Scotty. Let's face it...that was pretty embarrassing but funny as heck.

Li comes from a affluent background. I believe his mom was trying to salvage his putter so that he didn't have to putt with his wedge for the rest of his round ( which he did ). It is just a microcosmic representation of modern day China. The nouveau riche and enabling parents are cleaning up after their spoiled kid.

Saw a 3 some of Asians playing golf....I suspect Korean or Chinese.....grandmother playing with a maybe her 12 year old gransdson....mom just carting and watching. I saw the mom tee the kids golf ball up...LMAO. Obviously, I didn't grow up with a classic Asian Tiger mom...I've played golf for close to 5 decades...she has never seen me hit one ball...it was me tagging along playing with dad. My parents never forced us to do homework.....coincidentally all 3 children graduated from university....with very minimal financial support.....I grew up in a poor family. I never received 1 nickel for undergrad or grad school. Talk about spoiled rich kids....so many entitled Chinese pink shirts here in Van City.

The course is not busy for a late afternoon rd. We are a 4some with a beginner. On the 3rd hole I see a 2some starting to catch up. On the 6th hole....I wave them up on a par 3....2 white guys appreciate the wave and allowing them to play through...he said many are too clueless or inconsiderate to let people play through.
On hole 12, I see another 2some starting to catch up. On the par 3 15th....we need to walk back 150 yards to the tee block from the 14th green. As we approach the 15th green....the Korean 2some couple say they are going to tee off on 16...I say OK...but there's no need to skip a hole and they can play the par 3 and play through us. The Korean guy starts all this crap...moaning....then starts arguing with the 2 others guys in our 4some.....instead of simply going to tee off on the 16th or to play the 15th hole.
Older Korean guys can be asshats....not the 1st and certainly not the last time we'll encounter unwanted and unnecessary K-Drama. Younger Korean golfers are much better.
So let's here about your Classic Korean stories out on the links.

Saw a white women at the course the other day wearing knee highs....think of Caitlyn Jenner wearing knee highs...WTF. Saw another Caucasian women twice a few weeks ago wearing the same knee highs on separate days...didn't look right.
IMO...only the Korean hotties her in Van City can pull off the knee high look...maybe because it's complimented with their high end, high priced and colorful Euro designer clothes.

We can't give the Koreans all the luvin in this thread. This has gone viral here...but the lady's face and license plate are blanked out on the local news coverage. This Superstore is on Grandview Highway & Rupert here in Van City. This is an Asian Lady...but I'm pretty sure she's Chinese...this grocery store is like shopping in Beijing....I've been to this store quite a few times.
Some of the comments are pretty funny.....e.g.) "In her defence the woman is Asian. Therefore the kids are likely in more danger when she's in the car driving it."
The woman claims she was only in the store for 5 mins....store cameras say otherwise...20 mins. The police officer is livid and who can blame him.
Unfortunately....these type scenarios are far too common...many children have died....some people claiming they forgot their children were in the car for 8 hours while they went to work....WTF.

Re: not fixing ball marks on the greens...
I have heard that the aversion comes from the idea that bending over and poking the ground is associated with the peasant class.
Another thing I've noticed is that the women play from the white tees while the men play from the blue or black tees and they all end up having to hit driver on par threes and they still come up short. I guess it's more bang for the buck that way, but I know that if I have to use driver on a par three, I'm playing the wrong set of tees.

When the Korean club came, 25 strong, nothing but Lexis's n Caddie's and BMW's. Gucci golf bags. They would pay for 25 but when we sent the marshall to count they always had a couple of extra players on the tee......And they would do this every time!!!....But I still love the women!!!!!

Classic Korean scamming and cheating.....lol. I saw the same thing at a muni here a few weeks ago when a white guy had to come out of the pro shop to question 8 Koreans that he was missing 2 green fees and the Koreans said they all paid....yet when the pro shop guy asked to see 8 receipts .....that's when the Koreans started to act dumb and pretend not to understand English...it was so hilarious. This is part of what I was trying to elaborate on in another thread: "The pro shop staff here must cringe because the Koreans often create confusion and pretend not to understand remedial English....." seoulsisters.freeforums.net/thread/1701/july-2017-pictures?page=7Thanks for demonstrating that it's not just a Vancouver Korean thing. Yes, Korean women can be pretty sweet...especially the short skort, pantyhose knee high ones.

They may have moved to Vancouver because the course that I work was bought by Koreans!!!! They would even split up once they teed off and the marshall would call and say they're playing 6somes!!! Koreans, you gotta love em!!!
