Biggest disappointments are Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko, Shanshan Feng, In Gee Chun and Ariya Jutanugarn. None of them have won, but they all are top 20, and have made decent money. Lydia is on pace to win $750,000 this year. The last three seasons she's won $2.49M, $2.80M, and $2.09M. Lydia is 55th in Putts per GIR/87th in Putting Average this year. The last three seasons she was 1st/1st, 2nd/19th, and 6th/22nd. I'd say she's been a disappointment so far. |

In Gee has had three top tens in five starts and a 14th. Two top fives. No, she hasn't won, but I don't think it's been a particularly bad year so far. Ariya is also playing pretty well despite not having a win yet. But Henderson and Ko are well below the pace they were at last year. Don't recall how Feng is doing so far.

I answered your trivia question correctly...that said...IMO...Icher should be on your surprise list...she has played well in the past month....we have seen her quite a bit on coverage. Others that don't belong on the disappointment list. 1) NYC...she was gag/choking last fall and continues to do so...not unexpected...if this continues into June...she will be toast like Yani....NYC is heart broken....love is diificult. 2) The LOVELY HYP hasn't played well the past few years...she has one or two events that saves her year...maybe she's stressed in the love triangle. 3) Bethany overachieved at the USWO...she found lightening in a bottle at a goat track. |

Biggest disappointment has to be Mi Hyang. She should be contending or making the cut with ease. After her win I thought her career would get to another level. Now she might lose her card.  Honorable mention is Sung Hyun. I was expecting 1-2 wins by now or at least solid top 5's every wek. She is letting the offline group get to her mentally. |

I like Mi Hyang and found more about her thanks to phil. None of the disappoints on that list are surprising at all. NYC number 1? Seoul Sisters knew last Junes she was going to tank and tank hard. Eun Hee ? Really? not a surprise in the least. Maybe losing the card is a stretch but I fully expected Mi Hyang to be class this year and it is just getting embarrassing now. |
