She gave a long interview upon returning to Korea after the USWO...said she will turn pro in September. Also, she will not play anymore as an amateur, which is too bad...she could have gotten revenge on Junior at the US Girls Junior and USWA (Junior is skipping both of those, too). Man, that takes the air right out of those tournaments. I would have loved to see what kind of hype Choi would have gotten from the Golf Channel had she been in the Girls or Amateur field. Oh well.

Unfortunately Fake Sports...er, I mean Fox Sports airs those events as well, meaning they won't go out of their way to promote them no matter who's in the field. In response to another question posed on this thread I do not see her name among the entries for the RWBO either.Kevin

YTN did an interview with her...obviously, I don't know what was said. However, at 10:32 they show a bulletin board from a her bedroom...a pic of it was already posted on the Internet. It shows her goals for world domination of women's golf. I can read the 4th item, it is Olympic Gold Medal. Notice how she gave Mr. Orange a little bow at 7:05. At 5:15, I'm also in the video...red cap, long sleeve light teal golf top, and black pants.

That guy pushing the luggage out ahead of her at the airport doesn't seem the slightest bit surprised by all the flashbulbs as they enter the main terminal. I think I would be like "Whaaaaaa?" if that happened.

Korean Golfer sees Hall of Fame Future
SEOUL, July 18 (Reuters) - South Korean golfer Choi Hye-jin has had to forgo $630,000 in prize money over the last two weeks due to her amateur status but the 17-year-old has big plans for her career after she turns professional in September.
Hall of Fame plans.
Choi, the world number two amateur, finished runner-up to compatriot Park Sung-hyun at the U.S. Women's Open in New Jersey on Sunday, coming within three shots of becoming the first amateur champion since Catherine Lacoste in 1967.
In addition to missing out on the bumper $540,000 prize money due to her amateur status, Choi also had to forgo the 100 million won ($88,845) winner's cheque from a Korean event earlier this month.
Choi, who turns 18 next month, finished 38th at the U.S. Open last year at CordeValle in California and arrived at Trump National in New Jersey with some modest targets.
"My number one goal was just to make the cut and do better than last year," Yonhap News quoted her as saying on Tuesday. "I also thought that if things went well I could finish in the top 10."
Things went really well for the teenager and had she not dunked her tee shot into the water at the par-three 16th while co-leading the tournament on Sunday, she might have been returning to South Korea with the trophy.
"I knew as soon as I hit it, it was in the water," she said of her errant tee shot, adding that she could not stop thinking about it on the flight home.
"I kept thinking if only I could hit the shot over again."
While Choi will undoubtedly look back on the tournament as a missed opportunity, she could take the domestic KLPGA by storm if she maintains this kind of form, and there is no doubting the confidence she has in her own ability.
"I'd like to follow Pak Se-ri and Park In-bee into the Hall of Fame," she said of her future goals.
Local media quoted her coach, Park So-young, as saying she had the potential to do big things.
"If she handles the pressures of being a professional she will be a better player than any of us expect," said Park.

I see that IMG have their claws sunk mighty deep in CYBORG already...she can't even attend school in peace without the media following her....the parents of the other young girls must be really happy...now their children's pics are on cyber space for all the LPGA BINDER boys to fawn over.

Oh ya....Dumbo better suspend her play on the LPGA and do some sales calls until she secures a logo on her visor.....CYBORG's IMG team will SUCK out all the LPGA endorsement money for the next 5 years.

Cyborg will make her pro debut at the KLPGA's Hanwha Classic, Aug. 31 thru Sep[t. 3. Hanwha jacked up the purse from 1.2 B Won to 1.4 B Won and it became the tour's 5th major this year...sound familiar?
The LPGA in Portland will be a little shy of talent that week as the Hanwha will include both Kordas, Jenny Shin, Inky, Ji, and Nomura. Hanwha will also have the JLPGA's Chae Young Yoon, Mi Jeong Jeon, and Min Young Lee.

She should wear her school uniform when she plays her next pro tournament. That would be epic!

She should wear her school uniform when she plays her next pro tournament. That would be epic! Are you crazy...I assume this is your style of sarcasm ...there are enough BINDER boys...we don't need any more stalkers and droolers...you should know better...you have a young daughter. I think it was poor judgement by the school to allow the media into school property to have their go at CYBORG and not respect the privacy of the other school girls and have their faces plastered on cyber space....what happened to the usual white out of the faces of Korean photographs. There's a lot of nut jobs out there....could you imagine someone dedicating a vanity plate after your daughter. There's a reason why Hinckley Jr. is in prison (Jodie Foster, etc, etc).....I think Paige McKenzie is still spooked by the maintenance worker that stalked her...I'm sure she doesn't leave her doors unlocked at her house.....even while she's baking Sunday afternoon muffins. The Koreans will fly across the Pacific for 4 days just to fanboy Dumbo.
