Twelve PakPickers are taking part in this week's contest, collectively choosing 23 of the 60 players in the Olympic field. In order of popularity, those players were...12: Lydia Ko (T11), Ariya Jutanugarn (1st), Lexi Thompson (T7) 11: Brooke Henderson, In Gee Chun, Stacy Lewis, Minjee Lee (T11) 10: Sei Young Kim (T2), Amy Yang, Anna Nordqvist 5: Haru Nomura (T11) 4: Shanshan Feng, Gerina Piller (T11), Catriona Matthew 3: Inbee Park (T2) 2: Suzann Pettersen, Charley Hull (T7), Pornanong Phatlum, Carlota Ciganda (T4), Azahara Munoz (T7) 1: Teresa Lu, Candie Kung (T4), Su Oh With so many popular selections dotting the leader board scores were fairly healthy for all but two of us. Those two only had five scoring selections and also happen to be fellow members of the PakPicker Committee. The third member, who is your humble scorer this week, leads with eight. I alone took a flyer on Candie Kung, which accounts for much of my leading margin.1. IceCat 75.25 (8) 2. ghinhee 63.25 (7) 3. olamin 62.25 (7) 4. Golfing Grammy 60.25 (7) 5. canlinny 58.25 (7) 6. The Table of Points shook up on Thursday as Stacy, Brooke and In Gee replaced Sei Young, Lexi and Lydia. With a few less popular selections dropping out as well only five scores went up. The bottom fell out for the Centurion as he spares my fellow committee members the embarrassment of sitting on the bottom.
Up at the top three of us had seven scoring selections apiece. Despite not picking Inbee the relative accuracy of Golfing Grammy's picks edges her ahead of surprise lead chaser bangkokbobby, who along with GD Smyth and myself did pick the 36 hole leader.1. Golfing Grammy 69.75 (7) 2. bangkokbobby 68.75 (7) 3. IceCat 67.00 (7) 4. GD Smyth 61.50 (6) 5. Fourteen golfers graced the Table of Points and all but one of them had at least one mention on our scorecards. With the exception of Sei Young (the lone Korean, native born or otherwise, not in the top 10) and Ariya (who withdrew) all of the double digit nods made the Table, so everyone's scores went up save for one. I'll spare the suspense: the exception was yours truly, as not only did Candie's score succumb to the elements but I only had Amy/Hee Young and Anna among my alternates. It was a loss of just half a point but with the high scores for most of the field I only have Centurion cushioning me from the bottom.
Up top there were four PakPickers with an astonishing nine scoring selections apiece. The members of the Jesselli household are all looking up at bangkokbobby as not only is he the only one of the top four to pick Inbee but was also the lone contestant overall to pick Su Oh.1. bangkokbobby 95.00 (9) 2. Schoolteacher Cindy 89.75 (9) 3. tonyj5 85.25 (9) 4. Golfing Grammy 84.00 (9) 5. dennis 79.00 (8) 6. GD Smyth 78.75 (8) 7. canlinny 76.25 (8) 8. ghinhee 70.25 (7) -- Verdant Garden 70.25 (7) 10. olamin 68.25 (7)
11. IceCat 66.50 (6) 12. centurion 62.00 (6) With so few contestants bangkokbobby will very likely get his first point(s) of the season, but will he get to hear the Thai anthem come Saturday evening? It will be a mad scramble for the finish.Kevin

The Table contracted to the minimum twelve golfers, all of whom appeared on our scorecards. Nevertheless all but three of our scores went down on the final day. Two of those three exceptions finished ninth and tenth this week. I moved above the fold despite only having six scoring selections because Inbee was one of those six. The least coveted prize of the week went to Centurion in a close race with Verdant Garden.
Five contestants had eight scoring selections apiece. Despite having only seven scoring selections bangkokbobby and GD Smyth inserted themselves among those five because both also had Inbee, but of course neither made the podium. Two members of the Jesselli household netted silver and bronze but the top prize went to dennis, the other PakPicker to see his score increase on Saturday.Mesdames et Messieurs, l'hymne national des États-Unis d'Amérique.Ladies and Gentlemen, the national anthem of the United States of America.Senhoras e senhores, o hino nacional dos Estados Unidos da América.www.nationalanthems.info/us.mp3[/font] Silver. tonyj5 79.50 (8)Bronze. The rolling results might be delayed as tonyj5 is on site this week but the Verdant one will be blowing the dust off his calculator to assume the scoring duties.Kevin
